1. Choose colors you know you love and will not grow tired of quickly. Pick colors that can translate into the next season so you are not constantly buying a whole new wardrobe.
2. Try to include prints. These prints do not have to be outlandish. Simply pick a print you know will go with pretty much anything like chevron, leopard, stripes, or check. It all depends on your personality and what you know you can tolerate for a good amount of time. Prints also add a little flavor to your overall look it says “ I took a risk.”
3. Make sure that your palette flows successfully. Choose colors that seem to blend well with each other and create positive contrast. There’s nothing worse than looking like you are constantly mismatched and confused.
